The 6066 alloy rim has been extensively to ensure it is a rim which is light enough for aggressive trail riding but strong enough for DH. Nukeproof have used J-Bend spokes meaning tensioning and spoke replacement is much simpler than using a straight pull spoke. The wheels come taped with tubeless valve installed so all you need to do is add sealant and your tyre to get a finished tubeless setup. The valve supplied is Nukeproofs Horizon valve which also has a core remover built into the cap. This valve is also compatible with tyre inserts like Nukeproof ARD. A new hub seal and bushing is supplied with Nukeproof freehubs. To avoid damage to the hub seal, turn the freehub anti-clockwise as you fit. Please Note: The new hub seal will be fitted to the freehub for transport purposes. This needs to be removed from the freehub by pressing the pawls BEFORE fitting the freehub. Ready for fast-paced and aggressive trail-riding, this front wheel has gone through extensive testing to meet the demands of both Enduro and DH riders. It features a special blend of alloy material, which produces a hardness similar to 7-series alloy, but with the ductility and yield properties of a 6-series. This gives you the best of both worlds in terms of stiffness, strength and weight. Nukeproof has also ensured this front wheel's rim profile is the same as the rear (sold separately), the only difference is the front has a thinner sidewall for greater weight savings. One final highlight is it comes equipped with J-bend spokes, which means that tensioning and spoke replacement is as simple as possible. Enduro ABEC 5 Bearings After extensive testing with various brands of bearings, Nukeproof chose to use Enduro ABEC 5 bearings in this front wheel. These bearings have the “LLU/LLB” seal type, which uses two lips that make light contact in a groove to create a labyrinth where the water or dirt has a more difficult time to penetrate. LLU seals are similar, only the contact pressure or interference fit is greater to seal better. Enduro bearings have 80% grease fill on both sides whereas most other bearings have 35% grease fill on one side. This delivers full coverage, so there are no dry areas as well as avoiding metal on metal contact or wear. This means that the axle feels tight out of the box and after a couple of rides it will become free. This non-driveside seal fits all Nukeproof Horizon and Neutron v2 rear hubs. Hub Seal Changing this seal is easy by following the instructions below: 1. Remove non-driveside end cap 2. Take a thin flat head screwdriver and gently prize off the old seal 3. Push new seal in place 4. Refit non-driveside end cap
Featuring an adapted head which allows the tyre insert to sit on top of the valve, the shape of the head allows for easy inflation and deflation. Each valve has a removable core allowing you to get maximum air flow from your tubeless pump or CO2 cartridge. The specially-designed custom cap features a core remover built in so you can remove & tighten the core without any additional tools. The nut has also been designed so that you can get a good grip on the flat edges to tighten the valve in the rim. An O-ring is also provided which sits against the outside of the rim and provides an airtight seal while preventing damage to the rim from the nut on the valve. How to Install Remove valve cap and nut, insert valve through rim, fit O-ring to valve then thread nut on and tighten by hand.

Attached and held in place via a Velcro closure running the length of the material and to ensure it stays securely in place it has anti-slip rubber panel on the back. As this chainstay protector is exceptionally robust, it is slightly less elastic than traditional neoprene chainstay protectors so you would need to measure your frame chainstay accurately in order to ensure you get the correct size to fit your frame.
