When fitting cleats to your shoes its crucial that they are set in the right position as they play a big part in your riding performance. As the main point of energy transfer its critical that they are set up correctly because if they are not power and performance will be lost as well as riding comfort being compromised which could result in injury for the rider.Most riders when fitting new cleats will spend time measuring and fine-tuning to get the cleats directly under the balls of the feet, and then go on a test ride, fine-tune, and pedal some more to find the optimum angle for the cleats, which can all add up to a lot of time.
