Our heartland has always been bombproof aluminium hardtails. Our entry level 29er is no exception, it uses a sophisticated TFS frame with the latest technology, full internal cable routing, tapered headtube and inboard disc brake mounts. There's no point making a bombproof frame and then hanging poor components on it. Despite the entry price point we load the Big Nine 15D with as much Shimano componentry as we can due to its reliability.
Merida's heartland has always been bombproof aluminium hardtails. Half a century of frame building experience counts for a lot.All Big Nine and Big Seven models use a sophisticated TFS frame featuring the latest technology: full internal cable routing for a clean, neat set up, tapered headtube offering the potential for future upgrades inboard disc brake mounts protect the brake and maximise stopping powerAs much Shimano componentry as possible has been added to complement the modern frame and enhance reliability. There are a wide range of sizes; Big Nine for taller riders and Big Seven for shorter riders with a healthy overlap between the two. For riders in the middle, riding style can be taken into account. If you are looking for speed and efficiency choose a Big Nine, if you are looking for agility chose a Big Seven.

To keep you riding longer we use the new Shimano 630w battery. The eOne-Sixty 8000 comes with Marzocchi Z1 fork and Fox shock, Shimano XT 1 x 12 transmission and Shimano SLX brakes.
The Merida Big Trail has been a hit with the mountain bike press and trail riders alike. Bikeboard.cc confirmed that we 'nailed it', while MBR, IMB and many more confirmed that the Big Trail is firmly at the top of the trail hardtail game. Conversations between UK bike shops and Merida's German R & D team resulted in the development of a fun-packed and hugely capable bike. Trail bike geometry combined with a long travel 140 mm fork and grippy 2.4" wide 29er trail tyres make this the perfect companion for exciting trail sessions and demanding all-day rides over rough terrain. It's perfectly suited to UK riding. The modern trail bike geometry has a slack enduro inspired 65.5° head angle, steep seat angle and a long reach. A short seat tube delivers a low standover height giving plenty of space to manoeuvre on the bike when the trail gets technical but still accommodates a long travel dropper post. The geometry means most sizes work for most body sizes so riding style can be factored in. If you want to go crazy fast, take the longer size, for agility, take a shorter size. The Big Trail has hidden talents, in addition to two sets of bottle bosses, there's a trail mount under the top tube giving the ability to carry tools and extra gear on the bike. It's also possible to fit mudguards and a rack if you want to trek further afield.

Merida's most versatile full suspension bike, as with all of the range, the One-Twenty is over forked running 130mm forks with plush 120mm rear travel. The designers considered both riders and mechanics, delivering a playful modern trail bike with a slack head angle, low stand over height and short chain stays that’s easy to maintain. The rear shock is held in place with trunnion mounts which due to the wider mounting increases frame stiffness and reduces shock wear. The designers can run shorter shocks and longer stroke allowing more scope for suspension tuning. All key bolts can be adjusted from one side of the bike with a Torx 30 key without the need for removing the chain set to access the main pivot bolt. While very much a trail bike at heart, the modern yet balanced trail bike geometry, paired with fantastic frame stiffness, created a mid-travel bike that is super capable on rough trails but also carries speed perfectly on less technically demanding tracks.
The Merida eOne-Sixty is a hard-hitting enduro-ready ebike which has wowed the press worldwide and become the most decorated, tested and awarded bike in Merida's 50 year history. E-Mountainbike gave it the 'BEST IN TEST' in their 'Best of 2021' eMTB group test, World of MTB also gave it their 'Best of 2021' award and FREERIDE gave the 9000 the almost perfect score of 9.5 out of ten, just to mention a few.The Merida eOne-Sixty is built around compact Shimano Steps motors, the Shimano design ethos is around natural riding, and the physical design of the motor allows Merida designers to create very short chainstays which deliver agile and “regular bike” geometry. To give the e-full suspension bikes precise steering, fantastic ‘rolling over obstacles’ behaviour yet maximum traction, we have combined a 29er front wheel with a 2.5" tyre and a 650B rear wheel, equipped with a slightly wider 2.6" tyre. The perfect combination of precision, playfulness and traction allowing you to feel planted when tackling the most demanding of trails.Shimano's e-Tube app allows you to tailor power delivery to suit your riding style, and even set two profiles, one for shredding and one for cruising.
How do you deliver next-level enduro performance without busting your wallet? The One-Sixty 6000 is how. By pairing the radical geometry of a new all-carbon frame to components that get the job done without shouting about it. A RockShox ZEB fork and Super Deluxe shock paired to Merida's new FAST kinematic suspension deliver a ride that wants to eat up rocks so fast you’ll be worried about its waistline, while proven Shimano drivetrain and brakes deliver control in any situation. The One-Sixty is a radical, all-new design that pushes Merida's hard-hitting enduro platform to new heights. Just as well, because once it’s there it’s ready to rip the longest, toughest descents too.Merida's new suspension system uses a flexstay design with an adjustable rocker, so whether you choose to run it as a full 29er (162mm travel) or mixed 29/27.5” setup (171mm travel), the geometry is preserved. There’s a radically steep 79° seat tube angle for goat-like climbing and slack 64° head angle plus 170mm fork to deal with downhill trail chaos. New sizing allows riders to run a longer or shorter reach frame independently of their height, while suspension becomes more progressive as you size up, all with long-travel dropper posts. Wire Port cable routing plus reliable threaded bottom bracket round out the package, while carbon frame models offer on-board tool storage and FidLock magnetic bottle cages. The new ONE-SIXTY is a hardcore, long-travel enduro bike. It needs to be able to eat rough and steep trails, big mountains and bike parks for breakfast and it does just that, with 170 mm front travel and 162 mm (in full 29”) or 171 mm (in 29"/27.5") rear wheel travel thanks to our new FAST kinematic suspension. However, it's catering for the diverging demands of modern mountain bikers that's tricky. If you want outright speed, a longer reach for improved stability might be best, but if you measure success by smiles rather than the stopwatch, you might value agility far more. Full 29” wheels are great on the racetrack or rugged trails but if you came to party or need the clearance, then a mixed setup might be best. While you can select these attributes by sizing your frame up or down, there is always a compromise. Size up for stability and you’ll be left with a long seat tube and dropper post with too much travel, plus a handlebar that's too high. Same goes for switching wheel sizes - move from one to the other and your bike’s geometry will be compromised. The new ONE-SIXTY removes the need to compromise. The performance you want, married to the perfect fit, with all the features you’ll ever need.
