The casing allows the tyre to be run at lower pressures to improve comfort, while also increasing traction. The reinforced sidewalls also offer improved puncture protection, so you can run low pressures without worrying about ruining your race or ride. Despite the excellent level of protection, the Overide is also exceptionally light for such a high-volume tyre, weighing in at just 350g (700x35c).
