The Met Strale has been designed for road cyclists who don't want to compromise on ventilation for the sake of aerodynamic advantage. Generous vents create a 'venturi effect;' massive volumes of cool air can be channelled over the head, pushing warm air out of the large exhausts at the back so no matter how tough your ride, you won't overheat. The sleek design not only looks great but is also light weight and comfortable. The adjustable cam dividers allow you to customise and lock in the fit of the straps under your ears and micro-adjustments can easily be made on the move thanks to the dial at the rear. If you'll be riding in poor light or heavy traffic, the MET Safe-T Duo LED light (available separately) can easily be added to give you extra visibility after dark. Safety First The Rivale (MIPS) Road Helmet is first and foremost, focused on protecting your head should you be unfortunate to find yourself falling off your bike. The first line of defence is the combination of the shock-absorbing EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) inner paired with a tough and durable polycarbonate shell. These are moulded seamlessly together and provide a helmet you can trust should you crash, soaking up impact forces and maintaining the integrity of the helmet. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.
